What Do We Do?
We provide you with the support to enable you to remain in your own home. Complete Care SW offers “Caring with Compassion”.
We specialise in supporting clients with dementia and offering palliative and end of life care. We’re based in Devon and operate primarily in Tavistock and the surrounding areas - we can offer you tailored opportunities to improve the quality of your life.
After working with Livewell, within the Tavistock community, it became very apparent there was a shortage of quality care companies serving this area. It was heart breaking to see married couples separated after 60 years of marriage, just because no care could be sourced. Or families dealing with terminally ill relatives, having to do the physical tasks that should be left to caring professionals… when they should be spending what precious time is left, as quality time, with their loved ones. This prompted the setting up of the business Complete Care [S.W] Ltd.
The management team have decades of care experience across a spectrum of healthcare settings. The one driving passion we all have is to ensure, the best possible care is given to our clients to enable them to remain safe and independent in their own homes.
The aim was to provide quality care, unique to each individual client and family. To offer the whole range of support needed to ensure clients could remain in their own homes, for as long as they wished. This could range from minimal support with personal care, light household chores, meal preparation /cooking, shopping, respite sits for family members etc...to complete end of life care. It is all about you and your needs.
We evolve your care as the situation dictates, we respond to the changes in your needs and circumstances. We are there to listen , offer advice, support and find appropriate solutions. We work closely with our fellow healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach to your care and well being, and will readily signpost to other services if appropriate.
It can often be a daunting step to actually reach out and admit you need help. Don’t worry , we have been there. We totally appreciate how very, very tiring it can be looking after someone 24 hours a day. Or how you simply can no longer manage to do things that were easy a few years ago. We are there to help ! From a first conversation, to a gentle initial assessment , we will work together to put together a package of care that is right for you!
Everybody is unique, as are care needs. We will always put YOU at the centre of everything. We support the ‘Dignity in Care’ ethos, and are committed to it every day. We are proud to be a dignity champion.

Our Shared Vision
At Complete Care (S.W) Ltd the whole ethos of our service is to provide a care plan as unique as the individual it serves. It is paramount that this reflects that each person is individual and the care provided must reflect this. It is paramount that the person is treated with dignity, respect and compassion.
The individual and if appropriate family members are fully consulted and involved in the evolution of the care plan.
Each facet of the care plan is designed around the individual preferences of the person with particular attention paid to any difficulties that might impact upon communication.
All staff are trained to be aware of any potential difficulties the person might have in expressing themselves, this requires patience and understanding. Time is essential to fully understand the person, how their life experiences, cultural background and religious beliefs might impact upon their needs, with particular respect to the protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010. A thorough initial assessment can give a good insight into this. Staff are encouraged to engage with the person and with consent or using best practice if the individual is deemed to lack capacity following the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and an MCA assessment, share information to enhance understanding and improve care for the individual.
Regular communication with other health care professionals and social workers involved in the individuals care ensures a holistic approach to person centered care.
By constant communication and interaction the individuals care plan is constantly evolving and reassures and reinforces to staff that the clients come first. That if it is needed extra time can be spent with clients to respond to any additional emotional or physical needs at that time.
It is vital to build a trusting relationship to ensure best quality of care is given. To this end we have a robust policy on confidentiality and Data protection, GDPR which we enforce rigorously and are DSPT compliant.
Most importantly our staff all genuinely put the clients wellbeing first, often going above and beyond to enhance their quality of life.
